Just another rambling fool at WordPress.com

Well, for the third time since May I’m stuck inside again with temperatures in the high 90’s. I have to get outside to water things early in the morning and after the sun drops over the ridge in early evening, but other than that I’m not going outside unless I absolutely have to. I feel sorry for the horses. They’re miserable. Hopefully this weather will break in a day or two and we can get on with life again. It’s been a wacky summer, with temps jumping all over the place. Oh, and bugs the size of a small dog! But it could be worse … we could be on fire like various places out west. So I’ll count my blessings and find something to do inside today.

    • I think of you and your critters in that scary situation and I’m trying to count my blessings in spite of our dreadful heat. I know it could be so much worse. Please stay safe and know we’re wishing we could do more than just watch and keep our fingers crossed.

  2. Chancy and Mumsy

It has been in the triple digits here for over a week with no relief in sight…no rain either. Sure hope we all get some relief very soon. Stay cool as you can. I feel sorry for all the animals and the people who have to work out in the heat, especially the firefighters who have to fight the wildfires. Beautiful picture! Hugs

  3. This is our third bout with record-breaking temps and I just can’t help wonder what July and August will bring if it’s already been this hot in May and June! You take care in that heat … and all your critters too!
