Just another rambling fool at WordPress.com

His Highness

Even though I’m not a huge fan, it’s pretty hard not to like these little goats. There’s something about the floppy ears that give them a soft and woeful expression. But actually, they’re pretty tough and they don’t hesitate to hold their ground when my dog tries to move them off their lofty stone fortress. This little cutie was catching the last warm rays before sunset and I didn’t have the heart to disturb him.

I love the flip of the ears at the end – the picture serves His Highness well: like the royalty he obviously believes himself to be! My son and daughter raised goats for years. They can be real characters you either love…or love to hate. I always enjoyed seeing them playing King-of-the-Mountain on the hood of my sports car.

    • We had two goats many years ago. They were adorable as youngsters, but grew up to be more than a bit pesky. When they started munching my flower gardens I decided I’d had enough and found them another home. Ideally, goats are fun when they reside somewhere else … that’s my motto! Thanks for dropping by!
