Just another rambling fool at WordPress.com

Hot or Not?

It find it funny that Bean likes to test the electric fence. He never touches it, but gets his nose just close enough to sense if it’s on or off. He’s really a big weenie deep down, and has absolutely no desire to get zapped. In fact, we could probably leave the paddock gate wide open and Bean wouldn’t leave. He’s too chicken. The only times he’s ever been loose was when Tia led him off on an adventure. Even then you could tell he really just wanted to be caught and brought back home. Tia would have roamed the neighborhood for days if we let her.

This was taken with a macro lens, so Bean’s nose is in focus, but the rest of him isn’t. Oh well. I like it anyway. It sums up his goofy personality very well. He’s such a silly boy!

  1. the DOF works great to tell the story behind this image. It is afterall about him testing with his nose. The horses around here are not chicken enough about their fence. If the juice is off they know it, and Raven is sticking his head through munching on the other side (well when there isn’t snow on the ground).

Cute photo, I like the light too.

    • I think our guys know when the fence is on or off. Beanie would NEVER test a live fence. No way! But if he knows it’s off he lives to live dangerously and give it a try. He’s such a goofball!

I wish I’d gotten more good pictures that day, but as it was I took a ton of photos and several came out pretty nice. It was a magical morning … I think that was the same morning I captured all the spider webs!
