  1. I like the bokeh and backlight. These type of animal portraits always fascinate me, I so would like to know what Bean is thinking about at this moment.

    • For the most part I can tell you that the Bean was thinking “Breakfast” at that very moment. I was fussing around, trying out a “new” lens just prior to feeding the horses. I found them sunning themselves in one of their favorite spots and I couldn’t resist trying to capture a few shots of them on my way out to the barn. The Bean was quite dismayed that his breakfast was being slightly delayed while I tinkered around trying to get just the right photo with just the right back light.

      The Bean is quite a character! A punk at heart, but very much loved.

  2. Agree with Wayne; the backlighting combined with a shallow depth of field really make this photo pop. I love good photos of horses, and this one is wonderful!

    • Thanks Van! I managed to get some fun pictures that morning. I’ll try to post a couple more over the next few weeks.
